West Lafayette, Indiana
My first wedding on Purdue’s campus, and what a fun experience it was!
Jackie & Sean met at Purdue while they were both attending school there. They attended the St. Tom’s Catholic Church while there together which is also where they decided to have their wedding ceremony. The Catholic Mass Ceremony was so beautiful, I especially loved the perfect lighting the church offered which made for really great ceremony pictures. Also loved that Jackie and Sean couldn’t stop gazing at each other and giggling during the entire ceremony, so so cute!
After the ceremony, Jackie, Sean, the entire bridal party and I rode around Purdue’s campus on the famous Boilermaker Special. We stopped at various landmark spots along Purdue’s campus including the engineering fountain, the bell tower, the stadium and the campus gateway. Overall, Purdue gave us a really great backdrop for some beautiful photos!
After spending about an hour or so on campus for pictures, we headed to their reception venue at Lafayette Country Club for their grand entrance to the reception. This was my first time photographing at this venue and I was especially impressed with how beautiful this venue is and how well the staff at the venue took care of just everything and were so kind and helpful. They made everything from the dinner to the cake cutting go so smoothly and very well organized, not to mentioned the food that was served was absolutely delicious!
The reception of course was full of all the fun reception activities, but one thing that stood out to me in particular was the literal “Ball & Chain” Jackie’s brothers passed down to Sean as they tied it around his leg during toasts. It was a hilarious addition and definitely made us all laugh. Now he’s supposed to hang onto the ball and chain and pass it down to the next married man in the family. What a unique tradition that’s sure to be remembered!
Overall, I loved Jackie & Sean’s wedding day and the opportunity I had to work with such a laid back and fun-loving couple. These two are always smiling and are just so genuinely kind to everyone around them. They are off to the island of Maui in Hawaii for their honeymoon and I am oh so jealous!!
Shoutout to some of Sean & Jackie’s amazing vendors that helped put on this beautiful day!
