Griffin & Sally: A Backyard Family Farm Wedding Day in Lebanon, Indiana

Everett Farm, Lebanon, IN

I arrived at the adorable yellow Everett family farm house about mid afternoon on Sally & Griffin’s wedding day.

In the kitchen (the super cute, retro kitchen that is) were some of her bridesmaids and helpers for the day putting together flower bouquets made of pink roses & baby’s breath, it already looked like it had been a very busy morning!

I started by photographing some of Sally’s decor & details, with one of my favorite details being the water color painted invites & programs she had custom made by Roseberry & Co., so so cute!

I then found Sally (with a HUGE smile on her face, as always!) in her pink bathroom getting hair & makeup done by her sister while hanging out with the rest of her bridesmaids. After that, Griffin helped Sally’s father & brother put their ties on and Sally gave a couple (hilarious) gifts to her parents.

Sally wanted to stir up some emotions in Griffin right before he saw her for the first time coming down the aisle. So right before the ceremony, she surprised him with a hand written card, a card that she had found at Cracker Barrel when she was much younger and didn’t even know Griffin yet, her mom had bought her the card to one day give to her future husband! She had him open up the laptop on her desk after reading the card and played a short video compiled of photos & videos of them together throughout their entire relationship. Let me tell you, this sure did stir up something in him because Griffin was almost in tears before his bride even began walking down the aisle! His reaction was definitely a tear jerker, I think we all shed a tear or two!

The ceremony was absolutely beautiful, beginning with some worship, then some touching words from both of Sally’s mentors who have been with them through their entire relationship, to a foot washing and a sweet first kiss! I have to mention that Sally’s brothers, Luke & Tyler, also did a fantastic job of playing the role of “flower girls” as well!

And finally, even in the heat, the reception was so fun and sweet and just full of surprises. Sally, with the help of her brother Luke on guitar, sang a song to Griffin that she had written a few years ago about her & Griffin and the distance they went through during their time at different colleges. There were speeches/stories shared from several of the bridal party members, a small fireworks show and to top it all off a sparkler send off right before Sally & Griffin drove away for the night!

Overall, Sally & Griffin’s wedding day was a reflection of God and his beautiful gift of marriage. These two did a wonderful job putting together such a nice day, with the help of many family members and friends of course! It was amazing how many people pitched in with helping put together this backyard, family farm wedding day and Sally & Griffin were so considerate and thankful for every single person! It was a joy photographing the day and getting to spend some time with their wonderful families & friends.

There is SO much to share from this day, but I cannot possibly fit it all into just one blog post. So here are just some highlights to help create a visual story for the day!

Because Sally is so thrifty, resourceful & creative, the entire day was mostly DIY. But there were a handful of vendors used that will be place below as usual.
