Kacie & Ryan tied the knot on Saturday, July 25th celebrating at the Mavris Arts & Event Center in Indianapolis with all their family & friends…and their dog Griffey who was the ring bearer!
I loved the colors they incorporated into their day; sage & navy blue, the guys wearing floral sage ties with brown shoes and lots of greenery, white, peach & berry florals in the bouquets and decor accents.
Their guest favors they gave away were also so appropriate-spray bottles of hand sanitizer/surface disinfectant. Disinfectant-anything is basically impossible to get your hands on now a days so I thought that was such a perfect favor idea! They also handed out bags of Kilroy’s breadsticks towards the end of the evening, which was genius because that’s exactly the type of food you need after hanging at the open bar for a while!
The ultimate unique detail about this wedding day was the “Polish Fertility Chant” they did during the reception. Ryan’s family is Polish, so this tradition is something they do at every wedding. I remember Kacie & Ryan telling me about this when we first met for their wedding consult and since then I was dying to see this tradition in action! The tradition involves all the guests singing a song that’s basically about good luck with fertility in the marriage and then lifting the bride & groom up on chairs. Something I’ve never experienced before but was such a unique addition to their day!
