I met the bride, Nikki, at another wedding in Spring of 2019 while working together. She is also a creative, an amazing videographer and photographer. When Nikki & I met last year to talk about her own wedding day, she had a very clear vision for what she wanted for her day at The Ritz Charles Garden Pavilion and painted it so well. It was so neat to show up on her wedding day and finally see all her dreams/plans come to life. There was a lot of DIY involved in this wedding and I love that she put her own personal “Nikki touch” to just about every part of this day.
Talk about a very detail-intense wedding day, from her all exquisite bridal details to the blush & dusty blue goblets on the dinner tables, there was SO much detail to be captured and I had so much fun photographing it all. I LOVE a bride who is very into the details of a wedding day & really takes the time to customize it and make it beautiful! Nikki had DIY’d all her signage & invitation suite as well as coordinated colors/decor very carefully to get the look she was going for. Everything was so romantic, light & airy. She really worked so hard on all these details so it was important for me to capture all of that for her in a beautiful way she can look back on for years to come.
Overall, the day was a true wedding day fairytale. Photographing at The Ritz Charles had been on my “wedding photographer bucket list”, it was a photographer’s dream come true with the venue & the way Nikki decorated the place.
Both Caleb & Nikki looked amazing and made for some very beautiful, romantic portraits together. The coolest detail of the whole day was the old classic car that once belonged to Nikki’s great great grandmother, so much fun getting to shoot with old, sentimental props like that!
