I just loved Caroline & John’s wedding day and everything it represented. The day was so Christ-centered, their love for each other, their families/friends and especially Jesus was so clearly evident and beautiful. It was truly a wedding day I will not soon forget!
John & Caroline met at a speed dating event while attending college at Purdue, how unique is that in a world that is so digital these days! Their next adventure now that they are married is to move to Ohio where Caroline will attend OSU in hopes to obtain a law degree and John will be starting his career there. They have such a big life ahead of them, I can’t wait to see where God takes them!
Their wedding day incorporated so many details unique to them, their story, etc. The florals included some wheat strands from one of Caroline’s fathers fields, they served Mexican cuisine & Mexican tile coasters to incorporate a little bit of John’s family heritage, Caroline carried down the aisle a beautiful embroidered handkerchief that was passed down from her great-grandmother as well as wore earrings from her mother in law. My favorite moment of the day I think had to be the group prayer they did with their bridal party just prior to the ceremony. John & Caroline wanted to include a “first touch” without seeing each other so they could take a few moments in together and read some personal letters they had written for each other. After that, they had their bridal parties come in and pray over them.
There really were just so many aspects of this wedding that reflected their faith and love for God. It was so beautiful to see and such an honoring thing for them to include, reflecting the message that this marriage will be built on a strong foundation.
This was my second time photographing at Kennedy Estate and I just adore the whimsical look of this barn. The way the sunset lighting looks at this property is just stellar and this time we shot more around the railcar that is on the grounds and they turned out to be some of my favorite images from this day! It’s always such a pleasure photographing at this Indy-area wedding venue located in Lizton, Indiana.
