I know it’s always going to be an incredible wedding day when arriving at Lizton Lodge. This venue is a favorite Indy area wedding venue of mine not only because it’s beautiful and full of endless photo ops for a wedding photographer, but the staff is also just amazing to work with each and every time. I love the diversity you can have with this venue. Each wedding I’ve photographed here has been so different due to so many different combinations of where you can have ceremony, cocktail hour and reception.
It truly is such a perfect gathering place big enough to host all of your family and friends while providing the most perfect elegant backdrop for your wedding photos. No two weddings look the same at this venue!
Makalyn & Trent were so great to work with. Makalyn was such a sweet bride and literally looked like she walked out of a bridal magazine! Trent is so kind and watching him look at his bride gives you all the feels, you can tell he is so head over heels for Makalyn. At Lizton Lodge, they held their ceremony indoors in the big white ballroom and then did reception outdoors in the courtyard area. This was first time I’d seen reception in this area and it was absolutely stunning. Between their carefully chosen decor, having such perfect weather for this entire day and the beautiful golden sunlight during the reception, this decision worked out perfectly for them! Speaking of golden hour, Makalyn changed into the cutest reception dress and we snuck away for just a few minutes of newlywed sunset photos to take advantage of the dreamy golden light that ended this day. These two don’t take a bad photo, I thoroughly enjoyed their day at Lizton Lodge and can’t wait to share some of my favorites.
