Rachel & Zach’s wedding day at the Indianapolis Museum of Art-Newfields was so elegant and whimsical. We started off the day with getting ready photos of the girls at the Bottleworks Hotel in Indianapolis. After that, we headed to Newfields where Zach & Rachel shared a private and romantic first look on one of the bridges near the Lilly House. Followed by reading some personal vows under the covered arches of the Lilly House. One of my favorite things about photographing at Newfields is the variety of unique, absolutely stunning photo spots. The type of backdrop Newfields offers is truly like no other and difficult to find elsewhere in the Indy area.
After first look, we were able to get couple photos, bridal party and family portraits all finished before the ceremony even began. I loved doing it this way because it truly takes off so much stress after the ceremony having all of these must-have photos already taken care of. The bride and groom get to join their full cocktail hour to mingle with their guests and it truly just provided so much valuable time spent as a couple and with their loved ones on their special day.
During Rachel and Zach’s ceremony, just as Rachel was walking down the aisle, it began a very soft sprinkle rain for most of the ceremony. You know what they say, rain on your wedding day is very good luck! It honestly was not a big deal at all as it was just the lightest rain and actually clouded over the ceremony so well to provide some shade during this time. So neat how the weather can just workout actually in our favor just at the right moment!
