Julie + Blake’s Conservatory at Evergreen Wedding Day | Indianapolis Wedding Photographer

Some wedding days just have that effortless kind of beauty. The kind where every detail feels intentional, the setting is incredible, and the entire day unfolds with an energy that makes you want to slow down and take it all in.

Julie and Blake’s Conservatory at Evergreen Wedding Day was exactly that.

On July 18, 2026, these two celebrated their marriage at one of the most beautiful wedding venues in the Indianapolis area, surrounded by their closest family and friends. From the elegant details to an unforgettable reception, this was one of those wedding days that had absolutely no shortage of things to photograph.

If you haven’t been to the Conservatory at Evergreen, it is truly something special. Located just outside Indianapolis, the venue sits among 23 acres of wooded grounds surrounding a peaceful lake. But the real showstopper is, of course, the conservatory itself.

The contemporary, all-glass structure spans the lake and brings the surrounding landscape right into the wedding experience. It is bright, modern, elegant, and completely unique — and from a photography perspective, the natural light is so good.

I absolutely loved photographing Julie and Blake’s day inside the glass conservatory. The abundance of natural light creates such a beautiful atmosphere for portraits, candid moments, dinner, and all of those in-between photographs that make a wedding gallery feel complete.

The venue also offers the perfect combination of indoor elegance and beautiful outdoor scenery, making it possible to have a wedding that feels connected to nature while still having all the comforts of an elevated indoor venue.

Julie and Blake’s wedding had a grand, sophisticated feel from beginning to end. It was the kind of celebration where the details were beautifully thought out without ever taking away from what the day was really about — the two of them getting married and celebrating with the people they love.

This is exactly the type of wedding day I love photographing. I’m no stranger to beautiful venues & intentional details, but what makes those weddings meaningful to me is still the same thing: documenting the people, emotions, and moments that happen within them.

And Yes, Their Dog Came to the Wedding 🐾

One of my favorite details from Julie and Blake’s wedding day? Their pup got to be part of it, too!

Thanks to Your Day Dog Chauffeur, their four-legged family member was able to safely and comfortably be included in the wedding day without adding another thing for Julie and Blake to worry about. Your Day Dog Chauffeur specializes in making pet-friendly weddings stress-free, handling everything from transportation and professional pet care to ceremony logistics and photography coordination.

Because honestly, if your dog is part of the family, they deserve a spot in the wedding photos, too. And I’m always here for a pup making an appearance in front of my camera!

A Little Rain at the Conservatory

It rained during the reception, and honestly? Being inside that gorgeous glass conservatory while the rain came down outside was pretty magical.

There is something about being surrounded by glass, watching the rain fall outside while everyone inside is celebrating, laughing, eating, dancing, and enjoying the night together. Rather than feeling like the weather interrupted the wedding, it almost became part of the atmosphere.

It was one of those little unexpected details that made the evening feel even more memorable.

A Reception Full of Energy

And if there was one thing you could say about Julie and Blake’s reception, it’s that they knew how to throw a party.

The Bluewater Kings absolutely killed it all night long. The live band brought an incredible amount of energy to the reception, and the dance floor stayed exactly where it needed to be — packed.

Live music can completely change the atmosphere of a wedding reception, and they were the perfect choice for this one. Bluewater Kings specializes in high-energy live wedding entertainment, and their ability to keep a dance floor moving definitely lived up to that reputation.

And because apparently an already amazing reception wasn’t enough, Julie and Blake also had a pretzel truck come in for a late-night snack.

Honestly, I’m always here for a late-night wedding snack.

There is something so fun about those little unexpected reception details that guests remember long after the wedding is over. Between the live music, the packed dance floor, the rain outside the glass walls, and pretzels showing up late in the evening, this reception had all the ingredients for an incredible party.
