Rachel & John’s story began during their time at Purdue, where they met, became a couple and fell in love. On Saturday, August 28th, 2021 they officially tied the knot in front of all their friends and family. What a beautiful celebration!
The wedding day began at The Stables Event Center in Lafayette, Indiana where the bridal party got ready for the day. While at the venue we did a first look between Rachel & her father. Rachel is very close with her parents, as she has no siblings, so seeing this first look and just the love and respect she has for her parents is so incredibly sweet.
John & Rachel also shared a first look followed by a few portraits together before we did bridal party photos, then headed off the church they were getting married in.
After the ceremony at St Mary’s Cathedral in Lafayette, we headed onto the party bus towards Purdue’s campus. Rachel and John had to reminisce their college days together and what better day to do so! We stopped at Harry’s Chocolate Shop for a few photos as well as the football stadium.
At the reception, there was a full house as John and Rachel expected around 400 guests. Family and friends traveled from all over to attend this very special day! A few special details they included at the reception were a cigar bar, a live band (Wolfe & Nation) and an open bar. All of that paired with guests who came to have fun made it such a great night celebrating the new Mr & Mrs Kissel!
